Mintee (“the App”) is operated by Shining Road Studios (“we,” “our,” or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Mintee.

By using Mintee, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

Account Information (paid users only): Full name, email address, and payment details (processed securely by Stripe).

Usage Data: Quiz results, activity logs, and learning progress.

Subscription Information: Plan type (individual or organization).

We do not collect sensitive personal information, IP addresses, device identifiers, or cookies beyond what is necessary for app functionality.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain Mintee’s services.
• Track learning progress and deliver individual feedback.
• Improve and develop our product based on aggregated usage patterns.

Fulfill subscription purchases and account management.

Comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your data for AI training or advertising.

3. Data Sharing

We only share information in the following cases:

Service Providers: We use Stripe (payments), Supabase (database), and Vercel (hosting). These providers process data on our behalf.

Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers located in the United States.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or loss.

We do not currently apply data deletion or export features, as we maintain records for subscription and usage history.

5. Children’s Privacy

The demo version of Mintee can be used freely and does not require account registration. It contains only basic educational content (e.g., numbers, alphabet).

For the paid version, accounts must be purchased by adults.

For children under 13 years old, parental or teacher consent is required before creating an account.

For children 13 and over, a parent or guardian may still oversee purchases, but independent use is permitted.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without consent.

6. International Users & Legal Rights

Mintee is available worldwide. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights:

Australia: We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

European Union (GDPR): You may have rights to request access, correction, or restriction of your data.

California (CCPA): We do not sell personal data. California residents may request details of how their data is handled.

Note: As explained above, Mintee does not currently provide account deletion or data export features.

7. Data Retention

We retain user account and progress data for as long as a subscription remains active.

If a subscription ends, records may be retained for our internal records and compliance purposes.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If material changes occur, we will notify users by email or through the App.
