1. Introduction
Welcome to Mintee (“the App”), operated by Shining Road Studios (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms govern your use of Mintee. By accessing or using our services, you agree to abide by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.
2. Eligibility & Access
Demo Access: You may try a limited version without registering.
Full Access: Requires account creation and an active yearly subscription.
Minimum Age: Users under 13 may use only with parental or organizational purchase and consent. Users 13–17 may register with parental authorization. Users 18+ may register independently.
Jurisdiction: These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
3. User Accounts & Security
Account holders are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of credentials and all activities occurring under their account.
Notify us promptly if unauthorized access occurs. You bear full responsibility for your account's actions.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations, misuse, or security concerns without notice.
4. Subscription Terms
Subscription Plans: We offer annual subscriptions for individuals and organizations.
Billing & Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically each year via Stripe, unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal.
Cancellation: You may cancel in your account settings; you retain access until the period ends.
Price Changes: We may adjust pricing; any increase applies from the next billing cycle. You may reject the change by canceling prior to renewal.
Non-Refundable: All sales are final unless required by law.
5. Intellectual Property & Licensing
We own all content (quiz bank, game modes, app functionality). You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to access and use the content for personal or institutional learning only.
You may not copy, distribute, sublicense, or use the content commercially.
6. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App for purposes other than personal or institutional learning.
- Disrupt, damage, hack, or attempt to alter the App’s functionality.
- Commit any misuse including, but not limited to, interfering with others’ use.
- Use Mintee for illegal or harmful purposes. We may investigate violations and take actions such as suspending or terminating your account, and seeking legal remedies.
7. Content Licensing
Though Mintee contains only our content, by using the App you grant us a license to use your performance and activity data for service improvement (in aggregated form) without attribution, in perpetuity.
8. Educational Disclaimer
Mintee provides educational content without guarantee of fluency, accuracy, or exam success.
9. Limitations of Liability; Indemnification
We aim for reliable service but do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operations.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for direct or indirect damages, including data loss or service interruptions.
Indemnification: You agree to defend and hold us harmless against claims arising from your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will notify you via email or in-app messaging. Continued use after changes implies acceptance.
